Context
Trivia Chats is an application designed to encourage virtual connection and exercise-related brain stimulation for the global aging population. Trivia Chats allows for users to practice core memory function through a collection of self-selected trivia topics aiming to inspire meaningful discussions with friends and family.
Problem
Through a series of interviews, a significant finding was the difficulty interviewees experience while navigating technological platforms, often getting lost and unable to complete the task at hand. Further, interviewees stated that they enjoy weekly or even daily scheduled events as they provide an event to look forward.
Solution
Key factors in achieving an easy-to-navigate interface are limiting the number of action within the flowchart and incorporating simple visual design to limit user confusion. Large texts, buttons, icons, and high contrast colors are designed to simplify the navigation process. Additionally, scheduling options for trivia games allows users to incorporate matches within their weekly schedule.
